Lighthouse at Legalweek

    Introduction

    Overview

Legalweek is the largest legal tech event of the year and Lighthouse’s most significant external activation. Our flagship presence centers around the annual Lighthouse Lounge—a welcome escape where clients and prospects can recharge with great food, drinks, and a quiet space away from the conference floor.

Guests first encountered us at our branded registration area, where they were welcomed and guided to their pre-scheduled meetings on the 43rd and 47th floors. These hotel rooms were fully converted into private suites designed for one-on-one discussions. In addition, we hosted two M365 Academy sessions in a dedicated ballroom on the second floor.

    Event Branding

The overarching Lighthouse brand was the visual throughline across every space, with the Wonderland Lounge acting as a surprise-and-delight moment that added emotional impact to the experience. I designed and oversaw production of several large-scale physical assets, including the registration desk, a backlit wall installation, elevator wraps on each meeting floor, and branded wayfinding banners. Each print element reinforced consistency between experiences using our teal fractal AI motif as the anchor across touchpoints.

    AI in Wonderland Lounge

    Inspiration

Building from feedback we received in previous years, I wanted to create a lounge that offered even more opportunities for rest, privacy, and calm conversation. The concept took cues from Alice in Wonderland, transforming the space into a surreal, garden-inspired hedge maze.

Working closely with our internal events team and external production vendors, I developed a  floor plan that balanced whimsy and function. We chose plush, low-profile seating, private hedge nooks, oversized florals, and custom-built furniture in black, white, and teal. The brand’s teal and orange accents were balanced by green foliage, soft lighting, sheer fabric walls, and checkered floors to complete the immersive experience.

    Result

Moss-covered rabbits peeked out from teacups, scattered playing cards hinted at hidden magic, and semi-private vignettes offered moments of retreat. The Lounge wasn’t just a place to relax—it was a creative, engaging entry point into larger conversations about how AI is transforming the legal space. The cohesion and craft across every detail made it one of the most talked-about spaces at Legalweek 2025.

    interactive prototype

    Overview

To deepen engagement with our AI offerings, we placed self-guided kiosks in the foyer of the Lounge and outside the M365 Academy entrance. I designed a  two-path interactive prototype in Figma that let guests explore our AI Privilege tools at their own pace.

Path 1: Anatomy of AI Privilege Review

This pathway introduced the fundamentals of predictive and generative AI before explaining how Lighthouse leverages both technologies in our products. Guests could watch short videos from our Director of Product Management, Karl Sobylak, and explore interactive pop-ups that walked them through the steps of a privilege review.

Path 2: White Privilege Log Line Was Written by AI?

This interactive quiz asked users to compare two privilege log lines and guess which one was written by a human versus AI. Their answers triggered short factoids and contextual responses, creating an engaging and informative moment of discovery.

    Digital Marketing

    Overview

To drive attendance and awareness, I collaborated on a comprehensive digital campaign. This included a central landing page featuring all event details, a registration form for the M365 Academy, and a link for booking client meetings. I also designed  targeted email invitations,  paid and organic social content, and display ads—each aligned with the Legalweek visual identity and Lighthouse’s positioning as a leader at the intersection of legal tech and AI.

    legalweek gala event

    Overview & Inspiration

To close out the week, we hosted a client appreciation dinner at the Ziegfeld Ballroom. With clients traveling in from around the world, we wanted to create an unforgettable New York experience. Inspired by Harlem, we titled the event Harlem Nights: A Celebration of Art and Soul—a tribute to the neighborhood’s cultural legacy and creative spirit.

    Execution

Guests enjoyed a curated menu by celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson, live jazz, and a performance by the Harlem Dance Theater. The event embraced a 1920s art deco aesthetic, evoking the elegance of the Harlem Renaissance. I created the visual identity and extended it across the registration page and printed materials to unify the experience.

    Projection Art

To fully immerse attendees, I designed a series of layered, animated projections using still imagery broken into spatial planes and animated in Premiere. These visuals welcomed guests and wrapped the ballroom in movement—highlighting Harlem artists and their work throughout the evening. See the videos below.

    Cocktail Hour Projection

Immersive loop video projection welcoming guests and setting the stage for the evening.
